Nelson Mandela Bridge, Johannesburg, South Africa
|
| Johannesburg has set out to be to
be both innovative and attractive.
One means to achieve this ambitious
goal is the use of exceptional lighting.
The dynamic lighting created by light
sculptor Patrick Rimoux focuses our
attention on the Nelson Mandela
Bridge. Its illumination symbolized
activity and movement. Our contribution:
one of the worlds first large-scale
colour change LED projectors, based
upon the parabolic projectors of our
022 series fitted with RGB LED lamps.
The top of each pylon on the suspension
bridge has four fittings each,
to create a dynamic colour changing
beacon. |
