In cases where luminaires cannot be hidden – such as at the Canada Water Bus Station – lighting systems have to meet particularly high aesthetics requirements. For this reason, there was a need for a suitable lighting system that complements the architecture.

With a length of 262.5meters, this structure has been connecting the suburbs of Jönköping, which are separated by Lake Munksjö, since 2006. Thanks to the quick connection pro - vided by the bridge, the centre of the region does not only have the opportunity for economic development but has also added an architectural lighting attraction.The lighting is provided by our 141 projectors using RGB LED lamps.

Nelson Mandela Bridge, Johannesburg, South Africa
Johannesburg has set out to be to be both innovative and attractive. One means to achieve this ambitious goal is the use of exceptional lighting. The dynamic lighting created by light sculptor Patrick Rimoux focuses our attention on the Nelson Mandela Bridge. Its illumination symbolized activity and movement. Our contribution: one of the worlds first large-scale colour change LED projectors, based upon the parabolic projectors of our 022 series fitted with RGB LED lamps. The top of each pylon on the suspension bridge has four fittings each, to create a dynamic colour changing beacon.

Nordbrücke, Berlin-Spandau, Germany
In addition to light bands, this approx. 250 meters long bridge across the River Havel is lit by plane projectors of the 458 series which are installed along the handrails on both sides. They are mounted on twin-armed, minimalist posts and underline the functionality of the bridge. Oberhavel, a city on the water, now has a direct connection to the other bank of the Havel thanks to this bridge completed in 2001.

Erected between 1894 and 1902, this bridge crossing the River Spree echoes London’s Tower Bridge thanks to its two-level design and confident architecture. While the upper level accommodates the tracks of Berlin’s underground and suburban railway, the lower level is reserved for cars and bicycles.

The city of Bayonne in the southern French border region with Spain is divided into three districts by the River Adour which are interconnected by three bridges. Built in 1125, the arched stone bridge “Pont Saint Esprit” is the youngest of these three bridges. It connects the quarters of Petit Bayonne and Saint Esprit which house the cathedral and the railway station.

This road and rail bridge is part of the crossing connecting the Great Belt and the Islands of Funen and Seeland and has a length of 2,694 meters as well as a main span of 1,624 meters. It is currently the longest suspension bridge in Europe and the second longest in the world. Electrolysis-protected parabolic projectors, high power projectors and accessories were used to light this vast construction.
